ACTE Board Member, Canada |
ACTE Regional Chair, Canada |
Link, Learn, Lead
2008 marks the third anniversary of the ACTE Canada Education Conference and this year’s event in Toronto will offer attendees the chance to learn the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the Canadian business travel community, link with senior-level industry colleagues, and lead their organizations into 2009. Visit the conference website for details.
I am very excited about our third annual ACTE Canada Education Conference to be held in Toronto from November 16-18. This year’s theme is “Learn, Link, Lead” – three powerful words that reflect an equally dynamic program. Learn the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the Canadian business travel community, link with senior-level industry colleagues, and lead your organization into 2009.
Look for TransACTE at this year’s conference. Replacing the “Solutions Showcase” concept, TransACTE allows all suppliers who provide products and services to the business travel industry to participate - not just those with technology products. Not only is TransACTE more economical, it has a much smaller carbon footprint in comparison to that of a traditional trade show.
In October, ACTE Canada members will vote to choose a new Canada Board member. Yes, it’s true, after more than 3 years, the time is soon drawing near to bid farewell to Rick Robert. Rick’s efforts as a volunteer board member have been instrumental in countless ways and his dedication to ACTE’s members is truly appreciated. Please take the time to review the candidates and vote. Then, join us at the ACTE Canada Education Conference where the results will be revealed.
ACTE thrives today because of its countless volunteers who continue to dedicate their time and expertise in both small and large ways. Together, we can make a difference!
I look forward to seeing you at ACTE´s upcoming events!
Yours truly,

Annemarie Reininger
Regional Chair, ACTE Canada
